1
The Replacement
Full data reception
An open, communal space located
at street level. “The Replacement” showcases various U.S. National Park locations where full data signal was available at the time the photograph was taken.

Welcome to our current nature!
2
The Flicker
Spotty signal
Having descended the stairwell, the journey continues toward the left where viewers come upon a labyrinth-like passageway. Here, in “The Flicker,” images of U.S. National Parks illustrate the retreat of the virtual landscape during spotty data signal.
3
The Construct
Signal out!
The labyrinth-like passageway terminates in “The Construct.” Here, images reveal various U.S. National Parks wherein data signal was unavailable at the time the photograph was taken. Without data signal, one has no choice but to confront the colorless landscape.
4
The Wonder
Can you uncover the wonder?
Coming out of the tight, labyrinth experience, the journey opens to a communal space showcasing the Seven Wonders of the Natural World. Have a walk around, or take a seat and relax… Your wonder awaits.

Note: This section does not use augmented reality.
5
The Introspection
Time to go inside
Individual booths provide an experience of introspection at respective U.S. National Park locations. Take a seat on the park bench and be guided through a deeper contemplation of inner and outer realities.

Note: Viewers are kindly asked to limit one person per booth. This section does not use augmented reality.
6
The Restoration
Nature restored
Coming out of the contemplative
meditations, the journey continues into this final, communal space: the restoration of our nature. This section also serves as the Event Stage for the A Species Between Worlds programing series.
7
The Green Room*
Behind the scenes
A bonus section where the public can view some of the behind-the-scenes images of the artist. In this room, John Mack shares footage of the image-selection process at each of the 7 Wonders of the Natural World.

*Note: Limited public access during programmed events.
